Biography & Metadata
Over the past three years, Hause Plants have toured across Europe and North America, opening for Two Door Cinema Club, Dehd, Cola, Ducks Ltd., and Quivers, while appearing at SXSW, Eurosonic Noorderslag, FOCUS Wales, New Colossus Festival, MEO KALORAMA, and Super Bock Super Rock. Now, the Lisbon-based project led by Guilherme Machado Correia is ready for its biggest step yet. Shake The Empty Feeling, the band's debut album, is a bold reinvention. Produced by Gordon Raphael, the legendary producer behind albums by The Strokes, Regina Spektor and Hinds, and recorded live in just one week at Eiger Studios in Leeds, Shake The Empty Feeling leaves behind the jangly indie rock of the band's early releases and experiments heavily with electronic sounds to create dance-punk tracks that capture the feeling of four people playing together in the same sweaty room. Built from demos shaped by drum machines and synths before being transformed in rehearsal, the songs chase the feeling of dance music made with real instruments: spontaneous, physical, and unmistakably alive. More than a debut, Shake The Empty Feeling is a statement of intent. It's an album about fun, friendship, nights out, and growing up without losing your sense of adventure, showing a band at its most confident and ambitious. After years of proving themselves on stages all over the world, Hause Plants are stepping into a new chapter with their most immediate, danceable, and exhilarating music to date.
