The story starts in 2013 where a longing to share avant-garde music culminated in the creation of the channel - an outlet intent on showcasing nothing but the most distinctive four to the floor sounds. Mia Mendi has relentlessly evolved moment to moment, both stylistically and conceptually. Fast-forward to present day and the name now represents an artistic duo obsessed with pushing dance music to the bleeding edge. This is esoteric production, digitally simulated by hands of the near future. In 2020 the pair launched their own label 'Hydera', struck gold with the first release 'Cultum' which hit the #1 spot on Beatport and started a landslide of hits following on from that. They now release regularly on Watergate Records, topped the charts again with their track 'Nightliner' on the aforementioned label and were featured on the front cover of WeRaveYou magazine as a result of this success . Mia Mendi continue to thrive in the dance music scene - which they deem as being attributed to their long-term commitment to setting trends, rather than following them.
