Koiwa

Buenos Aires, Argentina based Cristián García Laborde aka Koiwa. Co-founder, former drummer and synths of Lujo Asiático. Currently dedicated mainly to his solo project, which began in 2016. Expanding his prolific nature performed in MUTEK Argentina 2026, he released several singles and albums, both alone and in collaboration with other artists (Lucas Romeo, Isabel del Bosco, Selene Erbes, Poltamento, Nicolás Aimo, SKSSS, Disonar, Le Code, Sego, Chasys, nesoika) Latest albums: Strahlantrieb, Fleetstreet, Avenia, NODO, Dikarya, Peña, Live at MACBA (Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Buenos Aires) captured live during a sound activation for the exhibition MONTES NO VISIBLES (Órganos Inespecíficos). Post Ambient released via Puddle Label run by Ariel Schlichter included five reworks from other artists (Eric Olsen, Catu Hardoy, maeri, Pablo Reche and Matt Cianfo). Unexpected, a full collaborative album with SKSSS released via The Journey You Never Had run by Matt Cianfo. He was invited to play drums for Billy Bao with Mattin, Alan Courtis and Pablo Reche for the performance at Primavera Noise 2024 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Part of the backing band as a drummer for BASH, for Hablemos Del Alma in a Buenos Aires tour in 2025 and a period for Haien.
