Biography & Metadata
Tamar Kaprelian is a multi-platinum songwriter and artist best known for co-writing SNAP (4B+ streams globally). Early in her career, she was signed — and later dropped — by Clive Davis and Jimmy Iovine, a turning point that led her to step away from music and reset at Columbia University. She went on to found Nvak Collective, an independent label and artist services company built to challenge traditional industry models and help artists break through on their own terms. Through its nonprofit arm, Nvak has also helped educate over 5,000 women and girls in emerging markets. Now returning to her own voice, Kaprelian creates emotionally raw, cinematic music rooted in modern womanhood — exploring identity, motherhood and transformation. With a rare combination of creative depth and industry insight, she is not just making music — she’s reshaping the conversation around what it means to be an artist today.
