Dawn Of Solace

DAWN OF SOLACE started as a melancholic death/doom solo project of Tuomas Saukkonen (Wolfheart, Before The Dawn) in 2005. Shortly after the release of the debut album ‘The Darkness and the Light’ in 2006, the project went into a long hiatus because of legal and contract issues. As time healed the wounds and lifted the contractual burden, it was time to bring the project back to life in 2019 after 15 years of slumber. The comeback was warmly received by fans and media alike, and now there was no stopping it. The forthcoming ‘Skeletons’ marks the band's fifth full-length overall and the fourth release since their triumphant return (following ‘Woe’ in 2020, ‘Flames of Perdition’ in 2022, and ‘Affliction Vortex’ in 2025). ‘Skeletons’ stands as the darkest chapter yet, introducing a stronger blend of harsh, growling vocals paired with the somber and majestic cleans of vocalist Mikko Heikkilä (Kaunis Kuolematon, Sinamore), while Tuomas's songwriting ticks all the boxes of doom metal while
