Beth Hirsch

Beth Hirsch came to Paris as an au pair pursuing an acting career. Through mentor and friend Scott Dimmit, she began singing and recording demos. Marc Collin initially auditioned her for Ollano, his group with Xavier Jamaux, but a friendship formed instead. Collin invited her to make a demo of her first composition, "Miner's Son"—the beginning of a long creative partnership. That early work with Collin led to her first EPs, Miner's Son and P-Town Rubies (Kwaidan Records), and opened doors to collaborations that would define her career: co-writing and singing on Air's landmark Moon Safari ("All I Need" and "You Make It Easy"), and featuring on Wasis Diop's track for The Thomas Crowne Affair soundtrack. She relocated to London and recorded her first solo album, Early Days, produced by Paul Simm. The album earned her the opening slot on Terry Callier's European leg of the TimePeace tour—a significant honor alongside the legendary soul and jazz artist. Four solo albums followed, each exploring new ground. Along the way came co-writes with Michele Chiavarini on Jakatta (Dave Lee)'s Visions record, including the enduring hit "One Fine Day." In 2026, Collin invited her back to sing "A Question of Lust" on the Nouvelle Vague album A Date With Depeche Mode—out Oct 29th. http://bethhirsch.com
