Biography & Metadata

Seattle-based rapper Tanr first discovered his love for Rap/Hip-Hop in middle school, on the bus bumping artists like Lil Wayne, Eminem, Ludacris, Kanye West, T-Pain, Outkast, Bone Thugz N Harmony, etc. A few years later in 2010 he was introduced to the art of freestyle rap by a group of neighborhood kids on the trails behind the apartments he lived in. Tanr (formerly Royal-T) eventually joined in on the cyphers as jokes at first, but he eventually ended up falling in love with the art & constantly working on his craft. By the end of high-school he had gained local notoriety for his freestyle ability. Shortly after he formed Greater North with a handful of his closest friends. Originally starting out as a music group, it has since been molded into an exceptional Streetwear brand which was able to help him gain enough funds to purchase the recording equipment necessary to dive deeper into the art. This allowed him to release recorded freestyles and songs on SoundCloud here and there. Working with his long-time friend/producer/engineer Elijah, Tanner began to develop his sound and has gained a following through social media after he reached over two million views on his "For the P****" rap challenge video, He's now fully focused on his music & the future ahead.
