Biography & Metadata
before close is the collaborative project of UK songwriters and producers Jodie Nicholson and Joe Ramsey; a sonic and visual time capsule rooted in place. Recorded in intimate, rural locations, each project is crafted within a condensed window of time, capturing the essence of its surroundings in both sound and sight. Using a single microphone to record vocals simultaneously, before close bear songs exactly as they are, as they were written, creating a listen that is uncomplicated, home-grown and deeply human.
