hiii + welcome to my whole ass government name artist project. i write songs because i’ll literally implode if i don’t !! if you're after a brief backstory here are some bullet points: - i grew up in leicester (in the uk). it’s shit but that's the vibe - sundays as a kid meant going to one of those coldplay kind of churches. that was my foundational experience of music. shame / guilt = bad but community / ceremony = good. my family used to have all sorts of crackers people round for sunday dinners. we had a homeless man living with us for a couple of weeks. kindness was king + i will forever fuck w that philosophy - i signed a big record deal when i was 21 and it was rubbish cos i abandoned my intuition. i thought people with plaques on the wall knew better lollll. i got dropped & 6 months later quit my artist project altogether :/ - the next 5 years i produced & wrote for other artists + had some pretty mad #collabs happen. BTS / lizzy mcalpine / james blunt etc (there’s a playlist on here somewhere). so fun and so all over the place - i accidentally made & released my first album independantly over lockdown with one of my best buds from home matt zara - then i did a bonkers side project with 3 of my besties orla gartland, dodie and greta isaac. we were called FIZZ and that era was honestly too chaotic for words - i put out my 2nd album last year after a massive break up + my 3rd one is out now <3 i am simply trying my best !!! thank you for listening xxx
