Biography & Metadata

Hannah Bowers is a singer-songwriter based in The Santa Cruz Mountains of Northern California, writing at the intersection of angst-driven alternative rock and laid-back acoustic indie. Deeply rooted in '90s influence, Bowers writes with a lyrical wit and authentic directness that make listening to her songs feel like intimate conversations. She's been called an "artist's artist," known as much for her music as for her independent artist advocacy — promoting artist wellness and a more equitable music industry with a distinct voice for the women and queer artists navigating it. Her songs have appeared in primetime television shows, including CBS's Elementary and Instinct, and independent films, including the award-winning Miss Arizona. She frequently collaborates across genres with producers including COASTAL, Hamster, Chisari, Jynjo, Neptvne, ASTRINA, Richard Wolf, and Birdshield, with an extensive catalog of over 80 songs to date. Her most recent releases, "Swimmin'" and "Shadow of a Doubt," mark the start of her self-defined "chill girl era" of 2026 — songs written and produced from her peaceful mountain home studio with drummer/producer partner Katie Cole, inspired by the slower, more grounded life she's built since leaving LA.
