Solo artists Renee Stahl and Jeremy Toback combine as Renee & Jeremy to create a hush and harmony all their own. The Big Takeover wrote of 2021’s Whole Lotta Love: “They have essentially taken a wealth of classic songs… and reinvented them as understated whisper-folk meets ambient minimalism… The world is a better place for them playing the covers card.” R&J first came together to record alt lullabies on 2006’s It's a Big World. 2012's A Little Love followed with the duo’s groovy acoustic take on Queen’s You're My Best Friend. Then nearly a decade later, they returned with Whole Lotta Love and its indie folk transformations of tunes like Sweet Child O' Mine, Kids, and Where Is My Mind? R&J's latest collection, Shout!, features their haunting take on the Tears for Fears classic, a cello infused cover of As It Was, a hypnotic reinvention of Fly Like An Eagle, and jangle folk originals like Let The Day Reveal and Ever And Always.
