Biography & Metadata
DongjaeYim is a South Korean guitarist, producer, and mixing engineer pushing the boundaries of modern progressive metal and djent. He has established himself as a prominent voice in the instrumental guitar scene, fusing intricate, non-diatonic harmony with the relentless precision of 7 and 8-string performance. Driven by a sharp focus on modern tone design and architectural tension, DongjaeYim bridges the gap between raw heavy breakdown and complex fusion phrasing. His defining work, the Dying Star EP, is out now, opening a new chapter of dark, immersive instrumental journey.
