July Slavchev and Chris Makarov are the founders of the Bulgarian group Molec, known for its mixture of live instruments, trap beats and poetic lyrics about love, hardship and their unbroken connection to God. Their first stage appearance was in early March 2022, performing in front of 120 people in a small club, and two and a half years later the band filled the largest arena in Bulgaria — Arena Sofia. MOLEC have collaborated with various artists, including V:irgo, ROBI, The Mystery of the Bulgarian Voices, and others. At their first nominations at the BG Radio Music Awards in 2023, the group won in four categories, making them the most awarded performers in a single year since the beginning of the ceremony back in 2002. In 2024 they did it again, once more taking home awards in four categories. Their debut album ALBUM achieved Platinum status in sales in Bulgaria (certified by BAMP/IFPI). And by the end of 2024 they became the youngest performers to sell out Arena Sofia, establishing themselves as one of the most significant phenomena in contemporary Bulgarian music.
