James Deacon

James Deacon’s music is rooted in honesty and instinct, blending elements of soul, blues, hip hop, and funk without being confined to a single genre. His sound shifts naturally as his tastes and artistry evolve, always led by feel over formula. His collaboration Future with Parov Stelar was featured in BMW International’s global campaign for their electric car range, running for multiple years. Following the success of his single OVERDRIVE which soundtracked GMC’s 2023 North American campaign, James has earned support from outlets like Complex, Earmilk, Indie Shuffle, and CLASH, along with three Record of the Day features. Beyond his solo work, James runs a professional recording studio in South Africa, helping new artists launch their careers. He also manages talent and curates The Secret Party, a successful event series that gives artists of all levels a platform to share their music with fans.
