LUUKHANYO is a dynamic South African rapper from Cape Town whose genre-blending sound fuses contemporary R&B, hip-hop, funk, and jazz. Emerging as a compelling voice in South Africa’s alternative music scene, he’s celebrated for authentic songwriting, magnetic stage presence, and bold fashion—such as wearing pieces by designer Lukhanyo Mdingi. His standout performances at MTN Bushfire, CottonFest, Smalltown Beat, Up the Creek, Retreat Yourself, Feastival, Fête de la Musique, and The Music Imbizo have earned him acclaim across diverse audiences. His breakout single “Hii ROLLER” surpassed 3 million streams across platforms, following the success of his 2021 debut “FLOAT.” A European tour with his band The Hii ROLLERS further established his global reach and rising status in the industry.
