Deyah

Described to be the love child of Lauryn Hill & Kendrick Lamar, sprinkled with some Aaliyah, Fela Kuti and J Cole. Deyah has covered more ground than the average artist. Despite having had a tumultuous childhood and chaotic early adult life sharing similarities with the films of Scarface, 28 days, Higher learning, Matilda and St Trinians, Deyah is an unapologetic woman of faith and has finally landed. There’s health, there’s love, there’s optimism. Framed by a childhood of travelling the world, having spent years abroad, Deyah has soaked in an array of cultures and experiences that ultimately contribute to not only her lyricism but choice of sonics. From creating self-produced tracks in her bedroom to working with Astronote (Kendrick Lamar, Michael Kiwanuka) Jakwob (Celeste, Little Simz) Ten Billion Dreams (Ghetts, DDoubleE, Jordy, Skrapz) Tsb( J Hus, Popcaan, Jorja Smith, Burna Boy, Libianca, Wretch 32, Cristale etc..) Nathan Boddy (Mura Masa, James Blake, London Grammer, Pa Salieu) N2theA(Tion Wayne, Not3s).
