Ask The Dust

Ask The Dust is an Italian dark wave band. A "virtual" band since we haven't got any plans on playing live gigs and we also always make a video for each of our songs, whether it's an unreleased song or a cover. The project was born almost three years ago during the lockdown; we realized there was no use in complaining about what could no longer be done and there was much more reward in trying to produce something creative and fun while still respecting the restrictive rules applied at the time. Now we are at our tenth project and since it's again possible to collaborate with various professional musicians from our country, to choose locations without limits, even outdoors, and to use professional equipment for videos and to record in a studio, we always try to add something more to our projects - which are always self-produced. Our passions are the dark, new wave, and goth sounds from the eighties, also expressed by the aesthetic choices, the locations and the costumes /outfits of our videos. Ask The Dust were also born to rearrange the music that inflamed us as teenagers. The band currently consists of: Marko Darko: singer Massimo Zompicchiatti: bass, guitar (I'm also the director and producer of all the videos)
