Thanassis Vassilopoulos

The greatest Greek clarinetist Thanassis Vassilopoulos was born in Agrinio in 1972. His involvement with music started at the age of four, at the age of five he started learning how to play the clarinet. In 1987 he takes his first steps into the Greek Discography, up until today he has collaborated with almost all the Greek Artists. Thanassis participated in the album of Joe Bonamassa entitled “Black Rock” produced by Kevin Shirley. In the same album the big Jazz Blues legend B.B King has also participated! He performed as a special guest in the concert of Joe Bonamassa in Monteux Switzerland, in the historical room “Miles Davis”. He has participated as a special guest in concerts of the known Turkish Singer Sila, he also performed with the great Turkish singer Kibariye! With the involvement of a DJ, he blended the sound of traditional musical instruments with deep house. Combining the sound of the East and West he gave 20 sold out performances at the world-renowned club, Scorpios in Mykonos. He participated in concerts of composer Guy Manoukian at Dubai Opera, Alu Ula-Saudi Arabia, Acropolis Museum, Olympia Theater in Paris, Kuwait Opera. He realized a brand new song with the Paraguayan multi-instrumentalist Victor Espinola. Last summer (2022) she exceeded 50 live appearances playing in the most beautiful beach clubs in Greece but also abroad, something that has never been done before by a Greek musician who presents an instrumental live.
