Biography & Metadata

Since his debut album Vertigo, Derik Fein (pronounced "fine"), has amassed over a half of billion streams worldwide. His 2020 hit single Don't Matter topped streaming charts, and in 2022 his music was featured on NBC’s The Voice and in the Lionsgate film My Fake Boyfriend. Derik’s sound cannot be contained by pop alone. His blend of alternative, indie rock, garage rock, pop rock, psychedelic rock, lo-fi, and soul is undeniable—drawing inspiration from 2000s acts like The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, The Neighbourhood, The Black Keys, as well as artists such as Hozier, Amy Winehouse, SIENNA SPIRO, Coldplay, New West, Cigarettes After Sex and Lana Del Rey. The result is a nostalgic yet modern sound that resonates deeply with fans. In 2023, he launched his second album cycle with the singles Gaslight, Expensive, and Road to Nowhere, followed by his sophomore album Therapy in March 2024. By December, his viral single Sun dominated the charts. In 2025, he released his third studio album Antidote, featuring the hit single 1991 which peaked at number 20 on the Billboard LyricFind Global chart. In 2026, Rolling Stone described Derik Fein’s music as sitting between the cinematic melancholy of Lana Del Rey and the nocturnal pulse of The Neighbourhood — with some even calling him the male Lana Del Rey. Derik is currently working on his next album, continuing to push creative boundaries.
