IkeN is a Kenyan-born, UK-based, independent alt-R&B artist whose music reflects the fluidity of identity and culture. Through layered vocals, atmospheric production, and deeply introspective songwriting, his music explores longing, self-worth, love, and the tension between who we are and who we try to become. Shaped by years of moving between countries, the 22-year-old carries the depth of his East African roots while embracing the perspectives of a global upbringing. His debut album, “Galatea”, introduced the world to his sonically lush and lyrically intricate take on R&B music. Drawing inspiration from his own life experiences, literature, and those of others around him, IkeN writes and produces music that explores the tension between belonging and individuality, telling stories that are both deeply personal and widely relatable.
