Miho Fukuhara

Miho Fukuhara is a Japanese soul vocalist, songwriter, and actress from Sapporo, Hokkaido — a quarter American, raised on Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, and Stevie Wonder. She made her major label debut in 2008, with her debut album RAINBOW hitting #2 on the Oricon charts and selling over 150,000 copies. Her song “LET IT OUT” became the ending theme of the globally beloved anime Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, earning her fans across the world. Over an 18-year career, she has headlined Fuji Rock and Summer Sonic, sold out a China tour, and became the first Japanese artist to receive a standing ovation at a Black church in Los Angeles. Her music has charted in the Top 10 on iTunes in Brazil, Hong Kong, and Turkey. In 2023, she starred as Effie White in the Japanese production of Broadway musical Dreamgirls to critical acclaim. In February 2025, she released “Rockafellas,” a collaborative track with artist K, adding a fresh new chapter to her ever-evolving sound. Now as an independent artist, she is expanding her music across Asia and beyond — writing, producing, and performing entirely on her own terms.
