Biography & Metadata

Deniss (Deniss Stepanovs) made his debut on the Latvian hip-hop scene in 2014 as Reiks’s backing vocalist, participating in hits such as “Tik daudz”, “Esmu tev piedevis”, “Tu jau zini”, as well as the multi-million–viewed songs “Vienmēr ar mani” and “Kur palika nauda?”. He began his solo career in 2016 with the single “Mazāk runā, vairāk dari” (“Talk Less, Do More”). In 2025, Deniss released his debut album “22” and celebrated 10 years on the rap stage with a sold-out concert, “DENISS: 10 gadi repā” (“DENISS: 10 Years in Rap”), at the concert hall Palladium Rīga. At this moment, Deniss is turning a new page in his career by announcing his upcoming concert “Plejādes”, which will take place on 18 April 2026 at Palladium. In the autumn of 2025, Deniss released the minialbum “Plejādes”, which quickly became one of the biggest sensations in the Latvian music scene. The song “Pasēdēt”, created together with Sudrabu Sirds and Silraq, immediately reached No. 1 on the Latvian Performers and Producers Association (LaIPA) official chart of the most-streamed singles in Latvia — both among local musicians and international artists. Meanwhile, for the song “Lidojam tik augstu” from the album “22”, Deniss received a LaIPA Gold Certificate, awarded to recordings that have surpassed two million streams. Today, Deniss is one of Latvia’s most recognized hip-hop artists. His tracks play at the biggest Latvian festivals, and his singles regularly reach the country’s top charts.
