Biography & Metadata

Juls is one of the defining architects of modern Afrobeats and contemporary African music. The British-Ghanaian producer, DJ and songwriter has spent over a decade shaping the global sound of the genre, seamlessly blending African rhythms with R&B, house, amapiano, jazz, soul and electronic music to create a signature style that is instantly recognisable. Juls credits span some of the world’s biggest artists, including Burna Boy, Wizkid, Lauryn Hill, Tyler, The Creator, GoldLink, Masego, Wande Coal, Sarkodie, Amaarae, Don Toliver and many more. His early collaborations with Mr Eazi on records such as “Bankulize” and “Skin Tight” helped define the sound that introduced a new generation of modern day Afrobeats. Alongside his production work, Juls has established himself as an artist in his own right. With his acclaimed projects including Leap of Faith, Ojekoo, Colour, Happy Place and Sounds of My World. Juls has become one of the most sought-after DJs on the international circuit. Known for genre-blending, high-energy sets that move effortlessly between Afrobeats, Afro house, amapiano, house, dancehall and global club music, he has performed on major festival and arena stages across Europe, North America and Africa. Juls continues to connect cultures through music, earning recognition as one of the most innovative and influential figures driving African music onto the global stage.
