Nikolaj Torp Larsen

Nikolaj Torp Larsen is a Danish keyboard player, songwriter/film composer/producer. A pro musician from 17, joining group “Once Around The Park”; later joined Krajn aka Cirkus/Warwick Avenue & moved to the UK in 1996, signing to Columbia Records in the US, releasing album, "Let it out". 
 The band split and he became an "in house" session musician for records produced by Martin Terefe, Paul Epworth & Fraser T. Smith, playing on 70 albums inc. Teitur, James Morrison Yusuf Islam, Jason Mraz, Train, Florence & The Machine, KT Tunstall, Lana Del Rey etc. inc. Adele’s Bond theme, “Skyfall”. 
 In 2008 Nikolaj joined The Specials on Keys & later MD. In 2013 he opened recording studio/label Squat Sound, with Dyre Gormsen & Kristoffer Sonne, known as “The Suppliers”, producing Jack Savoretti; & Rob Bravery's album “Esque”& EP “Ride On” by Rocky Nti on the label. 
 In 2017 he moved into his own studio in Eastcote Studios; co-writing/producing the first studio album of Specials songs since 1998; the album "Encore" went to no.1 in the UK in 2019 (their first) & co-wrote a song on Jack Savoretti’s album the same year. 
 He has worked extensively on Film scores with composers like Jonas Struck (inc. Borg/Hunting for Hedonia/The Good Traitor) and has composed & performed the music on films including In Embryo (2016) Directed by Ulrich Thomsen, Framing Mom (aka Rosemari) (2016) Directed by Sara Johnsen & recently How to Stop A Recurring Dream (2021) directed by Ed Morris.
