JimBaumerMe

Jim Baumer, the creative force behind the one-man indie-rock outfit JimBaumerME, channeled the pain from losing his son, well-known poet and environmental activist, Mark Baumer, into songwriting and lo-fi rock. Using songwriting as a pathway towards emotional healing, while drawing on his longtime affinity for mid-90s lo-fi rock played by bands like Guided by Voice, Swearing at Motorists, and Dinosaur Jr. while channeling newer artists like MJ Lenderman. Baumer makes the most of DIY recording techniques that utuilze drum pedal beats with distorted and multi-tracked guitars forming the backdrop for his populist-fueled songs. He is currently based in Lynchburg, VA.
