Joe Like

Born on March 24th in Goma, Democratic Republic of Congo, Jonathan Lukambo, professionally known as Joe Like, is a versatile and dynamic artist. Immersed from an early age in the vibrant rhythms of Africa and the soulful melodies of America, he developed an unwavering passion for music that continues to drive his creative journey. Growing up in a deeply religious and musically inclined family, Joe’s artistic foundation was built from childhood. His father, a pastor, shared his love for the guitar, teaching him chords and intricate playing techniques, while his mother, a choir member and deaconess, nurtured his sense of rhythm and harmony, guiding him in the church choir. These early influences shaped Joe’s distinctive sound—a seamless fusion of traditional Congolese rumba with contemporary Afrobeat, Afro-pop, and R&B—allowing him to craft music that resonates across generations and cultures.
