Eleni & Souzana Vougioukli

Eleni & Souzana Vougioukli started exploring world music very early and went on to experiment with the potential of human voice as an innate musical instrument. They sing in more than 20 languages and dialects a cappella or accompanied by piano, guitar and percussions, instruments they play themselves. The 2 performers are characterized by an indigenous authentic and explosive theatricality and passion. They have worked with many artists including Maria Farantouri, Goran Bregovic, Loudovikos Ton Anoyion, V. Lekkas, Ilias Andriopoulos, Thanassis Papakonstantinou, Psarantonis and Rotting Christ. They have given concerts of ethnic, classical and traditional music, in the frames of important events and international festivals. Τhey have performed at Carnegie Hall in New York, at the Biennale in Milan, at TedX Athens, in ancient and national theaters, castles, all over Greece, Cyprus, Switzerland, USA, Italy, Ukraine, Luxembourg, Belgium, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Romania, Nepal.
