Biography & Metadata
Norwegian artist Helene Bøksle is one of the leading singers in Norway. Helene is known for her spellbinding and captivating voice. She grew up by the fjords and the mountains in the south of Norway, and her music is inspired by the Nordic landscape and culture, and traditional folk music. Helene uses her unique voice to create her own sound and music. Helene has released a number of solo albums; her latests being "God natt, min skatt" (2019) and “The Blue Wave” (2018) - a collaboration with the Irish acclaimed songwriter, Brendan Graham. Helene has contributed on a number of recordings with bands and musicians such as Secret Garden, David Urwitz, Kurt Nilsen and Staut. She has also co-created film music, and used her voice in various motion pictures, both in Norway and Hollywood; among others – “Journey to the Christmas Star”, “The Last King” and “The Mermaid Chair” - as well being part of the music in the online game; “Age of Conan”, which have won a number of international awards for best vocal – and music (HMMA 2008). Helene was also part of the Emmy-nominated jazz-album “Stille, stille vinternatt” (Universal 2011). Her previous albums include: Elverhøy (Universal Music 2006), Morild (Universal Music 2008), Det hev ei rose sprunge (Christmas album, Universal Music 2009), Svalbard (2013) God natt, min skatt (Children songs, 2014), Sanger fra vår ø (2016), The Blue Wave (2018), God natt, min skatt Vol II.
