Biography & Metadata

Berlin-based Ukrainian artist JKLN (pronounced Jacquline) operates at the intersection of electronic production and songwriting, moving freely through house, techno and electronica without settling into a single genre. Born in Kyiv and raised in Athens, JKLN grew up between cultures and musical worlds. She began with classical and jazz piano before studying Audio Engineering at SAE Athens. Now a producer, singer and songwriter, that background runs through a catalogue built around contrasts: club-driven production alongside melodic writing, intimate vocals against harder electronic textures. Her music has accumulated more than 41 million streams and 295,000 Shazams, with releases through Ultra Records, KMS Records and Smash Deep. She has collaborated with The Saunderson Brothers and received support from artists including Kevin Saunderson, Alok, Idris Elba and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike. Her 2022 track “Welcome to Ukraine” was featured in the Emmy Award-winning documentary Ukraine Under Fire, bringing another dimension to a body of work that increasingly connects electronic music with personal storytelling. For JKLN, genre is less an identity than a language one that changes depending on what the song needs to say.
