Lakeyah is living life on her own terms for the first time. The Milwaukee-born rapper, singer, and television personality has reclaimed her independence and stepped into a new era with intention. She first made waves with her breakout mixtape The Keymix (2018), but her viral 2019 freestyle to the City Girls’ “First Day Out” challenge launched her into the national spotlight, catching the attention of Quality Control and JT. After relocating to Atlanta, Lakeyah continued building momentum with Time’s Up (2020) and In Due Time (2021), earning a spot in the 2021 XXL Freshman Class - becoming the first Milwaukee artist to do so. She followed with No Pressure Pt. 1 and Pt. 2, and collaborated with artists including Latto, 42 Dugg, Flo Milli, Lucky Daye, Peezy, and Icewear Vezzo. “Mind Yo Business” featuring Latto has surpassed 20 million streams. Lakeyah also expanded her profile with a recurring role on BET’s The Impact Atlanta, a PREME Magazine cover, and partnerships with Google Pixel and Mass Appeal.
