Through the Gloom

Through the Gloom is a UK based musician whose work drifts at the edges of dark ambient, drone and experimental music. It sounds like late night laments in empty rooms and half remembered dreams, where melodies flicker into focus then fade back into drones, hiss and tape noise. Since 2020, Through the Gloom has put out a steady run of self released albums and EPs, including a release on DIY label Utopian Mechanics featuring a limited edition cassette with a handmade, zine style booklet. The upcoming series How to Start a Cult pushes further into ritual textures and uncomfortable, intentional listening, best heard in one sitting with the lights low and nowhere to be.
