Singer, pianist and songwriter Tarang Joseph fuses ’80s disco and ’70s soul-funk with a distinctly modern flair. Built on groove-centric soundscapes and cinematic visuals , his music paints a hyperreal world of fantasy and escapism, driven by infectious basslines, funky breakdowns and performances that hit hard in the studio and even harder live. With over 400 live shows under his belt, having begun performing at the age of 13, Tarang’s musical process is rooted in a live-centric, free-flowing improvised music environment. After packing rooms across India on The Liquid Sunshine Tour and performing at major festivals like Echoes of Earth, Tarang and his 4 piece band Adesh Vinod (Guitar) Surya Kalyanaraman(Bass) & Shourjo Chatterjee (Drums) have established themselves as one of India’s freshest-sounding and most exciting live acts
