Melanson

Raised in a non-musical home, he felt the first spark of songwriting when a friend loaned him an electric guitar at 12. A few high school bands later, a lifelong love of writing, composing, and performing was born. He paused his personal musical pursuits after graduation, however, to focus on a career as a cinematographer and film composer. For two decades he created images and sounds for others; now, with his imminent debut album, so glad you are, Melanson is reintroducing himself as an artist all his own, with his own stories to tell. Playing guitar, piano, clarinet, and synths, as well as providing lead vocals, Melanson’s debut album is an intimate and infectious collection of folk, pop, and rock songs that invite listeners to witness the emergence of a musician who has spent years listening deeply to life, to art, and sound—and is now ready to be heard. Melanson is an award-winning composer and multi-instrumentalist whose debut album, so glad you are, releases on September 2026.
