The Mars Volta

The Mars Volta continue their fearless evolution with their ninth concept album, Lucro Sucio; Los Ojos del Vacio. Written and composed by Omar Rodríguez-López and Cedric Bixler-Zavala, the 18-track record reimagines the band's signature sound, blending progressive rock, jazz, electronica and psychedelic experimentation into a seamless, cinematic listening experience. From the rhythmic intensity of "Enlazan Las Tinieblas" and the groove-driven "Voice In My Knives" to the hypnotic focus track "Cue The Sun," the album showcases The Mars Volta's unmatched ability to fuse complexity with atmosphere. Both a celebration of their roots and a bold step forward, Lucro Sucio; Los Ojos del Vacio reaffirms the band's status as one of modern music's most adventurous and uncompromising acts.
