Biography & Metadata

Disko Warp is a high energy dance music producer based in Toronto, Canada. Featuring a trademark irreverent songwriting style and a queer sensibility, Disko Warp's uniquely crafted and insanely catchy high-BPM songs have developed a cult-like following since the internet's post-Y2K days. Initially inspired by the sounds of rhythm video games, "para para" dancing, and staying up way too late at anime conventions, Disko Warp debuted at a time of unbridled and frenetic internet creativity. His songs, recorded with a humble home set up and a gang of close friends on vocal duties, quickly exploded in popularity online. Gorgeous animated music videos by artist Radio Gosha further propelled signature songs like "Oh Oh Oh Sexy Vampire", "Less Than Three" and "Space Space Shooter" into viral hits across MySpace, Newgrounds and the early days of Youtube. Now nearly two decades and a move to Canada later, with the Y2K-era internet nostalgia in full swing, Disko Warp's music has been re-discovered by a new generation of enthusiastic fans. In 2026, he's taking a stripped-down, back-to-basics approach: experimenting in the studio, crafting new songs with his bestie and main songwriting/vocal collaborator Becky, and getting back behind the decks of rave stages big and small.
