Jonas Blomqvist

After 25 years in cybersecurity, making the internet a safer place, Jonas picked up the guitar in his late 40s—just for fun. A teenage rock bassist turned self-taught guitarist, he fell in love with country and pop before diving into ambient music, inspired by his son, one-half of the renowned duo Center of Attention. When he’s not playing or working, you’ll find Jonas in the kitchen, where his passion for cooking rivals his love for music. If life had taken a different turn, he’d probably be running his own restaurant instead of securing the digital world. These days, Jonas is exploring the ambient world with his guitar, drawn to its depth and simplicity. He enjoys the stillness it creates and the way it lets sound breathe. More than anything, he hopes his music can offer listeners the same sense of calm it gives him.
