UK based artist & DJ Four Candles (aka Kris Brown) is renowned for writing innovative dance music that defies fast-moving trends. After working with industry legend Nick Muir, his artistic break came on John Digweed’s Bedrock Records, and captivating follow up productions found their way onto some of the most respected imprints, from Balance to Selador, Afterglow and Tenampa. As his repertoire has developed, attention from industry tastemakers followed suit, with his records regularly featuring in sets from Sasha, John Digweed, Hernán Cattáneo, Dave Seaman, Spencer Brown and many more. As a DJ, Kris’s performances are awash with vibrant, emotional and spiritual keynotes. His ability to read the dance floor and freely inspire connection has established him as a go-to DJ, opening for John Digweed at venues across the UK, whilst also sharing the stage with Lee Burridge, Eats Everything and Norman Jay MBE. Not one to rest on his laurels, 2024 saw a shift in Kris’s focus, where he is now embarking on his first Four Candles album produced in a hybrid-live environment, allowing him to transmit a natural creative flow without compromising character or conforming to trends; indeed, it epitomises his ethos - writing from the heart, retaining a free spirit and letting the music do the talking.
