RÜ

RÜ is Norwegian singer-songwriter Ruth Victoria Rømyhr, an alternative R&B artist blending influences from jazz, hip-hop, and new-age soul. Known for her distinctive, slightly raspy voice, shaped by a childhood throat operation, and her emotionally honest songwriting, she explores themes of identity, self-acceptance and the world around her through music that is both vulnerable and genre-defying. Following the release of her critically acclaimed debut album La Petite Princesse in 2023, RÜ quickly built a growing audience through standout live performances, a string of singles and collaborations with artists including MonoNeon, EHI, Mohini Dey and Bernhoft. Her 2026 releases mark a major new chapter, leading towards her upcoming album and a headline concert at SALT on 2nd October 2026. Originally from Sveio on Norway’s west coast and now based in Oslo, RÜ creates music together with producer Kim Ofstad, combining organic grooves, atmospheric production and expressive vocals into a unique Scandinavian R&B sound.
