Biography & Metadata

Forged between France and Tunisia, Myrath has emerged as one of the most distinctive forces in modern metal. Blending razor-sharp riffs, cinematic orchestrations, and the hypnotic pulse of African, Indian, and European traditions, their music is not a calculated fusion but a natural expression of diverse roots. Fans and critics alike simply call it Blazing Desert Metal. Myrath’s story is one of resilience. During the Tunisian revolution, the band wrote Tales of the Sands (2011) while protecting their homes by day and composing music by night; a defining moment that still echoes through their sound. Since then, they have conquered international stages from Hellfest to Japan, Europe, and the Americas. In 2022, they made history by performing at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar, reaching millions worldwide. Their latest release, Karma (2024), marked a rebirth: a bombastic, arena-ready album that reaffirmed their reputation for innovation. Looking ahead, Myrath is preparing their most ambitious project yet a new album set for 2026, featuring a special duet with Elize Ryd from Amaranthe. More than a band, Myrath is a testament to how music born from struggle and identity can transcend borders and generations.
