Biography & Metadata

Lucas Mayer has spent over 25 years making music in places where you wouldn't always expect to find it. A Brazilian composer, songwriter, and producer based in New York, he's recorded albums on the streets of cities around the world for his project *Le Tour Du Monde*, turned censored journalism into songs with *The Uncensored Playlist*, and collaborated with some of Brazil's most distinctive voices, including Elza Soares, Ney Matogrosso, Criolo, Liniker, and Fernanda Takai. His latest adventure takes him into Gotham City. For DC Comics' *Batman: Gargoyle of Gotham*, inspired by Rafael Grampá's graphic novel, Lucas created an original album blending alternative rock, orchestral arrangements, and analog synthesizers. Rather than a traditional soundtrack, it's a record that gives the characters their own voices and invites listeners to experience Gotham beyond the pages. Along the way, his work has earned him a Latin Grammy nomination, an Emmy, and hundreds of international awards. He's also the founder of DaHouse Audio and Dorsal Musik, studios that connect musicians and creative minds worldwide. Whether he's producing records, experimenting with new technologies, or chasing unexpected sounds, Lucas has always followed the same curiosity: discovering what music can become when it goes somewhere new.
