Biography & Metadata
Manu Desrets is an Argentine/Spanish DJ and electronic music producer. Born in Málaga but raised in both countries, Manu has been musically and culturally influenced by these two nations. In 2010, he studied audio engineering at SAE Barcelona and then lived in Berlin, where his career became professional. In 2013, at the age of 23, he released his first EP on Drumma Records, label run by DJ and producer Felipe Venegas. In his early releases, Manu explored minimalist and percussive sounds, influenced by great references like Ricardo Villalobos, Argenis Brito, among others. After his stay in Berlin, he settled in the Argentine electronic scene, participating in major events and prestigious clubs throughout the South American region. In 2016, his sound changed with the release of "Cyclic EP" on the Spanish label Cuartero.This release reached the Top 10 in the tech house genre on Beatport. In 2018, at the age of 28, he start with his own record label “Family Partner” together with the Argentine DJ and producer Londonground, releasing a track produced by them and a remix by Romanian artist Mihai Popoviciu. Throughout his career, Manu has released music on many globally recognized labels. In 2024, his first 12" vinyl comes with the American label “Revival”, a joint production with artist Bodeler and a remix by Romanian artists Epau. His latest release, "Tributo," was released on the label of Dennis Cruz and Eddy M, including a remix by Héctor Couto.
