Annie Khalid is a British-Pakistani pop artist whose breakout hit “Mahiya” turned her into one of the most recognisable voices of Pakistani pop. The track became a defining song of the 2000s, crossing borders and later featuring in the Bollywood film Awarapan, introducing Annie and her signature sound to an even wider South Asian audience. Born in Lahore and raised in the UK, Annie’s music has always existed between cultures, blending Pakistani influences with contemporary pop and the sounds she grew up around in Britain. Following the success of Mahiya, she released two albums, Princess and Kya Yehi Pyaar Hai, and went on to collaborate internationally with artists including British-Norwegian band A1, Jamaican dancehall icon Beenie Man, and producer Rishi Rich. Beyond music, Annie became a familiar face across South Asia through major campaigns, fashion appearances and live performances, while using her platform to support charitable causes.
