Paul Ariss

Tossed into the world of music streaming and self-promotion to which he felt fully ill-equipped, Paul has, song by song, built up by error and trial, a small but stubborn and loyal following. He continues to write and by some quirk of fate, found himself working on each song with John Kettle, co-producer and collaborator with The Lathums. The Lathums have noticeably higher monthly streaming numbers than Paul, but he is not at all ashamed to milk the tentative association. Currently pondering splashing out on some new promo photographs to replace the one single selfie he has been using for years, he is also painfully getting more active on social media as apparently, this is 'essential'. Some of his songs have reached the semi-finals of large song-writing competitions, making in most cases the sneakily hidden entry fees more or less worthwhile. He is also proud to say some radio stations of 'note', have made his songs their Song of The Week, or even Track of The Week. In 2025 Paul had over 2000 plays on online radio stations, and was even interviewed on a couple on what he presumes was an otherwise quiet week for news. His new song 'Don't Hold Back' will be released on October 16th 2026 and will stay in your head like a harmless and enjoyable shot of dopamine.
