Biography & Metadata

Skinny Sands is a London-based songwriter making mellow, reflective music that usually starts with nothing more than sitting down with a guitar and following an idea. His songs tend to live in quieter spaces; somewhere between indie folk, instrumental storytelling and soft, atmospheric textures. Most begin simply, often on a nylon or baritone guitar, and grow naturally from there. After the warm response to early singles like Sit With Me and Big World, Skinny Sands released his debut EP earlier this year; a small collection of honest, guitar-led songs written in quiet moments. His latest release, “How Do I,” arrived alongside the instrumental B-side “Longer Nights.” Both tracks came from the same evening of playing guitar. One slowly found its words, becoming a song about trying to reconnect with someone you love. The other stayed instrumental, capturing the feeling of those evenings where time stretches a little and your thoughts wander. More music is already on the way, with new songs continuing to arrive throughout the year. For Skinny Sands, the goal is simple: make music that feels real, takes its time, and gives people a moment to slow down.
