Hi, I’m Vân Scott—pronounced "Van" as in "I lost the keys to my mini-VAN again." I'm a singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist currently bouncing between Nashville and LA. I'd say my music toggles between the warmth and storytelling of James Taylor and the searching, expansive sound of Coldplay. Before I began this solo artist project, I spent years lending my voice to film and television soundtracks, mostly preoccupied with stacking up my IMDb credits. Eventually, I decided it was time to step out of the background and start telling my own stories. I funded my debut album Almost Gone on Kickstarter in 2020, and when my song "What's Coming Next?" won the Overall Grand Prize in the USA Songwriting Competition the following year, I figured I must be doing something right. I like to make songs that hold both weight and lift—songs about love, belonging, change, and holding onto hope. So if you hear a little of your own story in them, you're in good company.
