Maria Gabriella Mariani

Maria Gabriella Mariani is a pianist, composer, and writer. Her encounter with the piano occurred naturally and joyfully at a young age, playing a waltz without knowing the notes. Since then, her approach to music has been rigorous yet free. Music has been her companion throughout her life, even when she has traveled paths not entirely suited to it. It has been a source of commitment and study, and often of great satisfaction, as when she has interacted with great musicians such as Aldo Ciccolini, the members of the Trio di Trieste, or the great Martha Argerich. She has performed several works for piano solo, with orchestra, or in chamber ensembles by great composers, but she has also given free rein to her creativity and her need to communicate through her own writings. And it is precisely through the notes of her music that Maria Gabriella Mariani leads us on a journey of self-discovery, crafting a delicate and moving portrait.
