Negative Shawdy

Negative Shawdy crafts a blend of hip-hop, R&B, and hyperpop, infused with the electric essence of '90s rave culture. Her artistry, born from navigating the complexities of her sexual orientation, is powerfully enriched by the musical legacy of family icons like her cousin Janelle Monáe and her late aunt Christina Veronica (of Secret Ties). Her musical journey, shaped by the rich cultural landscapes of the DMV, Hawaii, New Orleans, and Arkansas (where she currently resides), showcases an unparalleled depth and willingness to experiment. In collaboration with producer Otto Moss, she has forged a distinct sound. Her music not only blends eclectic genres, but it radiates a genuine and powerful essence of self-expression.
