Mission Divide

From the Dungeon on the outskirts of Toronto comes a machine of Aggrotech and Hard Techno infused with anger, filth, betrayal and lust. Mission Divide began as the now-deceased DJ outfit Projekt Synthetik. The origins of the band go much further back into the early ‘90s when Jason Divide played guitar and sang in various metal and punk bands; headlining at various shows across Toronto. At the same time, Jason found comfort and understanding in industrial music. In the late ‘90s a solo industrial project was started but soon abandoned, no recordings of that project exist. When Krysies exited Projekt Synthetik to focus on her other interests, Jason took over the entity and produced 5 singles - ranging from moody and introspective to aggressive noise. The band name no longer resonated and after much deliberation and discussion with Krysies (they are still married, Krysies only left the band) and other trusted friends, Mission Divide was born. With a new name came a new EP; PHASES reached the top 4 in the Bandcamp Aggrotech charts and stayed in the top 20 for 3 weeks upon release. Singles have been played at festivals and on various DJ shows both in person and streaming. Mission Divide does in fact have a mission statement: I want to make you dance.
