Biography & Metadata
An Afro-Latina with a rock ‘n’ roll edgy & silky-smooth vocals putting her own spin on Country Music. Gen Avid first dipped her toes in Afrikaans music when she placed 7th on the second season of South African TV Show Die Kontrak. A small town girl with a big voice from Bethlehem, South Africa. In 2024, she is making her mark with her debut Afrikaans single “Gelei Van Voor” set to release on the 23 of August. An unfiltered and unapologetic story of starting over & a collaboration with razor-sharp songwriters Hugo Ludik & Nick Jordaan whom have worked with the likes of Barto, SA’s very own Captain Kurt Darren & Eloff.
