Biography & Metadata

Jake Aaron is a London-born guitarist and singer-songwriter. His new album, Livingston Sessions, is due for release on 12 November 2026. Recorded at London's Livingston Studios with Steve Lodder on keyboards, Davide Mantovani on bass and Marc Parnell on drums, it brings together pieces written over several years, with a shared folk-jazz feel. His first acoustic EP in 2015, received praise for its intricate guitar playing and lyrical songwriting. The instrumental single "Give Me Your Horse" (2018), featuring Guy Pratt on bass, received airplay on BBC Jazz Nights. His debut album, Fag Ash and Beer (2019), was nominated for Fatea's Debut Album of 2019. The follow-up, Always Seeking (2023), mixed acoustic pieces with rock and jazz influences, moving between lyrical storytelling and cinematic instrumentals. Loosely imagined as a noir Western, it featured fusion guitarist John Etheridge, trumpeter Steve Waterman and vocalist Kate Kurdyak of Canadian noir-pop band Vox Rea. "A guitar style that’s both rich and intricate, warmly wrapping itself around the songs" - Tim Carroll, FolkWords "Londoner Jake Aaron exquisitely conveys the disk's Western Noir theme by combining great storytelling with an eclectic set of players" - KZSU Radio, Stanford University, on Always Seeking jakeaaron.com
